I think about my early time in life a lot. I thought about the three years I spent in the Army and decided to just start at the beginning and write down everything, day by day , I could remember about my service. I ended up with over 40 pages. My son never asked me much about the Army, one day he may find it interesting.

I have a renewed respect for movies pre 1970 that, even with loosening censorship, managed to make for good drama without incessant swearing and other stuff now routinely MA on Netflix. I know this makes me sound old and hopeless, but even some sort of clever restraint is appreciated nowadays. Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. Where is good taste and sophistication? I know, I know...

Wear bedroom slippers all day, but only once in a while. I try not to do “old people” stuff very often!

I don't carry debt. I live the new-age cashless lifestyle by putting the majority (like, 99%) of my expenses on credit cards, but I pay them off religiously each month and I never spend more during the month than I know I can afford to cover with my paycheck at the end of it.

I take several meds and several supplements twice a day

Gym visits make me tired; they never energize me

I use orthotics in my shoes

I lose my glasses in the house

I eat chocolate every day

I drink decaf in the afternoon

I park in the same areas of the parking lot when I visit the grocer or the mall.

I have my hair cut short because it is less bother

I almost always sleep on a heating pad at night

Chocolate is only for older people? I've loved it ever since I was two years old!
