About 35 years ago I won a record album of "That's Entertainment" the movie soundtrack. A local radio show played sound clips and you had to fill out a form as to who said what and what movie it was from....and send it in. Got them all correct. Oh, and two tix to the movie.

I put a post on IG and reviewed a piece of jewelry I'd purchased....the maker then requested my address and sent me a gorgeous bracelet.

In law school, I volunteered along with several other students to go to Lorton prison once a month to defend inmates who had been accused of some internal rules violation. (Only did it because I had a huge crush on the student a year ahead of me who organized this. Can’t even remember his name anymore.) But I got interested in the work and did it a second year. A couple of the frequent offenders whom I got to know fairly well by then, gave me a handlettered certificate on my last day, naming me an honorary member of Lorton Lifers Behind the Wall.

My all time favorite award.

I won a contest at an unusual wedding for at my advanced age, still being able to fit into my wedding dress from about 35 yrs ago.

I won a limbo contest as a young person.

And also as a very young person, I won a contest for coming up with the greatest number of words, from one word. (you know, using only those letters)

Years ago, I ran out of most of my slot machine money for the day in Las Vegas. We went to Circus Circus to see a show.

Later, I went upstairs to the playing booths where you win stuffed toys and such.

Bought $5 of dimes and walked around spending most of it at various games of chance.

I had about 3 dimes left at a booth that had a round revolving table, with three levels, all turning around a base.

The uppermost level (for top prize) was a tall, very small-mouthed vase. I tossed two dimes at the lower bowls and mugs and missed.

With my LAST dime, I threw it at the top vase and heard a clink. It was IN!!

I won a GIGANTIC 5 foot high/5 foot wide STUFFED Snoopy Dog sitting down LOL. He offered me $250 or Snoopy.

I didn't have kids at the time, and no way to get it home on the plane, so I took the $$.

My most PROUD win was taking the high point Championship trophy at a year end banquet for our local horse club. Points were added up for every 1st, 2nd or 3rd class winners accumulated at 5 horse shows during the summer season.
(jumping and flat work classes)

My horse was awesome and I miss those days.
