I wonder if it is the parents plan to have their own children take care of them in their old age?
At the ages those parents are I can't even imagine they'd be much able to care for the kids till they reach adulthood. Or even to be around till the kids grow up.
This is nuts. They won't be around to see those kids into adulthood. Although I think it is highly irresponsible, at least a 60 year old giving birth has a good chance of being around until the kid is 20-25. There is 0 justification for this.
The best age to have kids is between 25-35. I can understand kids from 36-45, but then that starts to affect retirement planning.
