You know the ones that were in your life for a very short period and then drifted away or disappeared? They were really great coworkers, family friends, classmates, etc you wished you could have cultivated a deeper relationship with. Who were they and how did they affect your life? What would you say to them if you could see them again?

Plus I avoid taking trips down memory lane. Living in the present is much more satisfying to me.

Facebook comes in handy sometimes for that.

I found them on Facebook and I was horrified to see the kind of people they had become, so much so that since that day I have sworn off Facebook. I think it is best not to go there, as neither you nor they may be the same people that you were.

I wouldn't seek them out.

I think people are pretty much fungible.

Unfortunately this is too often true. I can't believe the people I used to know and shared so many good times with could have become the person on their Facebook page.

I did find out in 2016 that one very special person from the 1970's had passed away in 2010 at age 55. Bummer

You can't go home again. What did Dean Martin say in Ocean's Eleven? Something like: "The good times are only good because you've already had 'em."

This is true if you're looking for a man. Women marry and their names change. If you know her brother's first name would help in the search. But not all had brothers. I have been looking for 3 women for years now and have been unable to find them. Even a retired NYC detective who had access to things I did not could not find them.

Every male was found using the internet or through another friend found there.

I ran into people I had worked with years ago. I didn't know if they were even alive, but they were actually still working!
