They aren't. Those would be the middle income people trying to play rich.

Abstain from cigarettes.
Shun the lottery (unless the prize gets really large).
Keep learning.
Spend money to save time.
Have goals.

And if I ever get rich I will ride the bus every chance I get, even if I'm not going anywhere. So nobody knows. It won't work since where I live some rich people sometimes do.

Do a lot of the things folks suggested in the poor person thread and use the saved money for savings/investing. That's how a lot of rich folks got rich and the affluent got affluent.

A lot of wealthy people are leveraged and debt is part of the cash flow they use for their LLC or investment funding. They are also leveraged personal use and have found the low interest environment of the last decade a money maker. Investors borrowing on margin are using debt to finance their investment portfolios.

I live a very middle class life by Los Angeles standards. My only "guilty pleasure" is my watch collection. I have 17 fine watches worth between $ 10,000 - 20,000 each. Nice thing is they go up in value every year.

I find it so very sad people need to talk about how much they have and how they live. They are missing out on a lot.
Why would you say they are missing a lot? If they are talking about how they live they are probably enjoying how they live. Does it take more time and energy for a person to share they are poor and don't get to do a lot of things but enjoy doing what they do get to do? Each person if they are happy with their lives are happy with their lives rich or poor or in between.

I buy Puffs instead of the rough generic brand tissues.

Aren't they? They are designed to be thrown away. Using cloth towels and disposing of them like paper towels would take bucks on a daily basis.

You would only say I was overly sensitive if you knew you were trying to insult posters here with your remark. I'd say the same about you having to jump on a thread whose topic was going to be pretty obvious with the title it is calling people braggarts. Nope, not mixing up posters.

When I read thread and it's corollary, I have to go back to the top, to see which thread I am in, things rich people do, or poor people.
