Between 9 and 11 with emphasis on 11, going to bed most nights around 1 a.m.
I like it and not interested in changing anything as yet.

I'm with marcandme. I'm retiring next year but plan on still waking up between 5 & 7, which is when we wake naturally now. The intention is to go for walks on the beach, maybe go out and get the paper, before setting in to do whatever 'chores' I have planned for the day.

I want to get in the habit of waking about 8am, having my morning coffee and then a 9 am beach walk.
After that I will start the other things I want to do that day.
In the summer that morning walk would be before the heat of the day.

I have always been a night owl. The only way I ever see the sun come up is if I stay up all night. Most awful shift I have ever worked was 6am-2:30pm. I wasn't coherent until around 10am when I woke up at work. Worst thing was most mornings I didn't even remember getting dressed and driving in. .

Now I usually go to bed around 2 or 3 am and get up around 8 or 8:30am to P. Then I putz around and make a leisurely breakfast for me and the cat. If I don't get up by 9am the cat combs my hair and head butts me in the nose. I get going around 10am but Im not civil till later in the day. Work in the yard etc. Prefer not to have visitors till afternoon. When I worked 12-8 I usually got up around 10am. I don't seem to need as much sleep now that I will be 70.

My husband is disabled and we go to LOTS of doctors appointments. If you make the first appointment after lunch you usually don't have to wait. Don't need an alarm if we have an earlier appointment since he's an early bird. His appointment so its his job to get me up.

I get up between 5 and 5:30am. I go surfing, or try to, most mornings and it is best just as the sun is coming up. When I paddle out there are a few other old geezers out there early also. The young bucks all sleep in.

I go to bed about 3 am and get up about 9 am - sometimes I wish I could move it a little earlier but not as much as some here - heck we normally have dinner about 8 pm. I don't think I could go to bed much before midnight on a regular basis anyway.

Do the sharks feed in the early morning?

In my early retirement days, I was up at 5:30am. The stock market opens at 6:30am here in CA.

Now I go to bed around 4am. I get up when the dogs need to go out.
