The heat there in Lovelock was up in th ehigh 90's low 100's but doable we have a great air conditioner in the motorhome thanks heavens for that.

What we were able to see of the house it's beautiful though we went into Fernley and purchased new furniture waiting for th ehouse to be finished for delivery.

The hubby is doing very well in his retirement hasn't even thought about his old office and the headaches that goes with it. He's meeting a great deal of new folks there, it's just so nice I can't wait to get back and have only been gone for 24 hours
Tressa, what part of Alaska did you live in? Was reading your forums, interesting. We also made the trip to the lower 48 in June and July. We're not retired but went to visit family. Took our 2 dogs with us also. Was quite a trip, beautiful.

I live in Anchorage part time, will be here in the summer months starting next year and will be in Nevada and the surrounding area for the winter months. This year for me is splitting my time between both, I may get the winter off but now I'm on a 2 on 2 off schedule.

I will be posting pictures shortly. I will say that working part time while hubby is out of State at our new retirement home is for the birds, I don't recommend to anybody. I have one more set of 2 weeks already arranged by the company but hoping that will be my last 2 weeks away from my retirement home. I didn't get married and invest 35 years into our lives to be apart in our golden years. Yes I know I'm whinning

Great to hear from you again. Just remember this is the transition year and major life transitions are always stressful - even the good transitions. Nice that after so many years, you two miss each other.

Awe thanks, I was chatting with my husband this morning and he told me that he couldn't tell me what day of the week it is but could tell me he only had 8 days until I was home again. He's so sweet.
