A Baby Boomer turns age 62 every 7 seconds. There's a whole lot of Baby Boomers, and they are just now beginning to turn 62.

Who cares. I am sick and tired of the whole generation. The sooner they all die off the better, and good riddance. We should create a group tombstone for them that says: "Sold out, used up the Earth, and contributed little."

Haha, if it wasn't for a couple of Baby Boomers you (and tens of millions of others) probably wouldn't even exist!

And just what have you contributed, may I ask? I turned 62 about two weeks ago...during my lifetime I watched many of my friends get drafted and sent to Viet Nam, I saw man reach the moon, I have seen huge leaps in medicine and education and observed many women taking their places in the world and out of the kitchen.

If your post was in jest, then I apologize, but referring to a successful and hard-working generation as you did really was unnecessarilly rude. At least we were not seen walking around with safety pins all over our tattooed faces and the crotch of our pants hanging to our knees. Each generation has it successes and it's foibles and each generation is measured by those that follow...so good luck to you in that aspect, no matter what your generation may be.

I am incredibly offended by this post. I contributed through my paycheck for 40 odd years to be able to have something coming back to me when I retired. Shame on you.

Well, personally, I think Esselcue used way too much tact... A good smack down would seem to be appropriate.
