Well I was forced onto pension at 42.

We still have children at home. So for us cutting firewood is not a terribly big issue. After 3 years, I personally have not swung an ax once. Our teens do it.

I hope that by planting orchards now, and setting up fences for our livestock; that by the time that I hit 50 most of the harder work will be done.

Such is the life of a retiree.
