Miruca-

Did they change their minds because of something to do with Brookings or because of other circumstances? I have thought more about the central Oregon coast but keep hearing good things about Brookings.

Some of the smaller towns seem to encourage golf carts as a way to get around for seniors and others.

40 miles on a $1.00 electric charge.

The town is small enough you can be anywhere you want to be in 10 to 15 minutes. No advantage to having a car. A street scene thta is so common I don't register anything out of place.

And don't kid yourself, some carts can reach 30 mph and one in town has six seats though most have four.

I know of several retired couples where a golf cart is all they have and it really is all they need. Hospital, doctors offices, grocery shopping, downtown, post office, churches, city offices (mayor rides a golf cart) and county office buildings are all easily within range of a golf cart.

And not having sides (some do, some have radios and everything) everyone always waves and losts of times people will just stop taking a break to talk.

We're a true green town.

I am not sure about Thomasville, might be to big for golf carts.
