Post News, Is the AARP Getting ‘Kickbacks’ from Obamacare?

Michelle Malkin: The Administration’s edict prohibiting plans from communicating with their beneficiaries failed to include AARP, which sponsors a Medicare Advantage plan but has been a prime advocate of Democrats’ government takeover of health care-quite possibly because AARP has been supporting a health care overhaul from which it stands to gain overall handsomely.

This is one of the few times I won't read the story, John. I can tell by the few sentences that it's a farce because there is no Obamacare or government takeover of the healthcare system. No such thing has ever been proposed.

I wonder if people take Hairy Reid seriously. Nobody in Nevada does.

Obama indeed has no plan at all. He has goals only as usual if you havfe followed the four lans propased. The finance committeee has finished amendments and wilkl vote tuesday and Obama is absent and I would bet he is ready to sign on the dotted line. The finace committee has 13 democratic votes for the plan so even with the nuclear option they lack the votes in the senate for a different plan that includes a government option now.

AARP is controlled by the Hartford, an Insurance Company. So I am surprised that they stand against the rest of the industry. After all the Insurance Industry has spent $358 million on Congress ton prevent Health Care for every American.

But the fact is that for years AARP actaully was assocaited with united insurance company not hartford. They bascially sell their name to any product they can now days.Look at thier magazines
its full of advertisements like any magazine. IMO they have just become another blotted non-profit that has becme more interested in their growth and money for the top leadership than anything else. They then decide what they support instead of what thie meners support and puublish almost propogranda articles supporting their opinions and not their memebrs views.
