Hey janetvj, it certainly was dreary today in our neck of the woods (I'm about 30 miles west of Baltimore). Spent most of the day doing RV prep stuff, getting ready to take off and head south for a bit. March weather here is unappealing so we're going to head out and see what's happening in other places.

yank - thanks for the info offer, I'll touch base when I've some good questions about our Scotland trip.

When I was working I would use one or two vacation days every year to adjust to the spring change in time. Now that I'm retired I no longer get that jet laggy feeling on the first week day after the change.

Today I'm going to check out 'Sunday Streets' where a city street is closed to vehicle traffic so people can walk or bike.

Sunday Streets San Francisco - Come out and play!

Good for you! I would like to be heading south myself but I guess I'm going to have to stay here and tough it out. Oh well, hopefully the worst of the weather is behind us for a while.

Have fun!

This was my post months ago. Still doing the same. My better half has awarded me a P.H.D. in doing nothing.

LOL. Me, too. There are so many wonderful things about being retired. Number one for me is the fact I rarely have to set the alarm clock for the morning.

Two: I can pretty much do whatever I want to do, whenever I want to do it.

Three: Naps

Four: Trips to the grocery store on a weekday.

Five: Very little that I actually "have" to do.

Six: More reading time.

I have never been happier with my life.

Yankees - Pirates game. Good to see Jeter, even though I'm the biggest anti-Yankee fan.

Today: Phillies-Pirates in sunny Bradenton on a Monday afternoon. Right behind home plate. Maybe read the morning paper at Starbucks before the game.

Love this retirement life in sunny Florida in March. So busy w/ attending events that I can't find time for a round of golf.

We (well dh really) finally finished our brand new kitchen. Took 6 weeks. Fresh, bright, cheery in blue and white.

Researching carpeting for the living/dining room and master bedroom which will be installed after we paint the living room.

Doing just a wee bit of research on where to go for my 60th birthday which isn't for 2 years. I'm often guilty of planning too far ahead of time. Thinking Maui as we've never been.

Wasn't planning on blue but it turned out that way. Like it!

Not sure yet about Maui as it's a very expensive flight from the UK and it would be peek season.
