Cleaning and organizing my laundry/storage room. Awaiting my new fridge which is arriving this afternoon. Eating some of the incredibly rich chocolate chips cookies I baked yesterday (haven't baked cookies in about 20 years!).

Having guests this afternoon - 3 other couples who are all happily retired. We're showing them a slide show of when we lived in Uganda. I'm feeding them gorgeous fresh fruit and bakery treats.

Guess all of you are sitting in rockers doing nothing?

Yesterday I painted our front porch. Got a spare bedroom ready for our Ugandan 'daughter' who is coming next week for a 2 month visit.

Today I organized photos and hung some more on the walls. Got a new gas BBQ and dh made us venison burgers on it for lunch.

What are you all up to?

I did it again ~~just got back from the garden center with MORE flowers I promised myself this year I'd keep it simple, well, it will be simple, but not as simple as I planned. Sure is fun though! I guess we know what I'll be doing today (after I mow the back yard).

YIS - Enjoy your guest - should be a great time for all of you!

You can't have too many flowers, IMO.

Busy week (at least by my standards!). Ran errands on Monday, had Girls Night Out on Tuesday, book club on Wednesday, went with my daughter-in-law to take my granddaughter to a doctor appointment on Thursday, and helped my daughter move boxes to her new place on Friday. Also, got online and set up a little get-away to Chincoteague for next week - leaving on the 5th and returning on the 9th. Today we're going to a cookout. I may just have to have a few adult beverages while I'm there!

I started the week planting mytomatoes & peppers, mulching and mowing. Then onto painting and finishing the hole to my whole house fan. My paint ended up too pink so I put on a glaze - better but more to do. Got more walls to do.

I spent this mornig at the vet with my ailing 17 yr old cat. We are going to try upping the meds to see if he bounces back some but may be close to the time to say goodbye (sniff).
