We have been looking at manufactured homes in a Florida golf community where you do not own, but rent the land. It has all the ammenities - golf, tennis, pool, activity director, nice homes. Wondering if anyone on the threads lives in such a place and if so, do they enjoy this type living, and is not owning the land a good idea.

Depending on the lease, lot rents can skyrocket which might be a huge problem, not owning the land - it may not happen but there have been cases of it and is something to consider.

Lease is not good. My family in DE went from 4,000 per year in the lease to double that! That was over a 3 year period. You just can not trust what they will put that lease up to. Own your land.......it will feel so much easier knowing your not obligated to anyone.
