For starters-------her SS will go from $578 to $1269 "

Why wasn't the wife getting $ 634 instead of $ 578 ?

I thouight the wife got either 50% of the husband's or her own------whichever was higher ???????????????

I'm guessing the pension would depend on the option taken and what tier the husband was in. The pension could range anywhere from 0% to 100%.
