I am happiest when I have visions of leaving Portland for the final time. Driving out of the city and seeing it fade away in my rear view mirror. I will scream out a certain two words so loud and with such joy. That Im sure may very well set Mt St Helens off again, and quite possbly set Mt Hood off also.

Jimrob - could you tell us how you REALLY feel about Portland? j/k
Seriously, it makes life miserable when one has to live in a place they despise - I have had that experience myself in the past, although it was mostly because of the neighborhood, not the town.
Anyway to answer the question - I am happiest when I am outside on a beautiful balmy day, feeling the breeze and watching the wildlife play and visiting my garden.
1. Laughing with friends while eating and drinking wonderful things...
2. Walking along a pretty trail with my sweetheart or alone, just being at peace in nature.
1. When working with young people who are enthusiastic about what we are doing.
2. When listening to the Los Angeles Master Chorale live at acostically perfect Disney Hall.
I am happiest when I know my son is healthy, safe, and happy.
But I'm also happiest when I'm sitting looking out at the river in front of my cottage in the woods.
I'm also happiest when I'm with my sweetie, my husband. (Most of the time! )
