Jump Bikes are seen as successful in cities all over the world. It's very troubling that they don't work in Providence - due to excessive vandalism.

I'm afraid this may be the position of some of the council leadership, if not the mayor. Majority owner-occupied neighborhoods/streets have generally found jump bikes to be a negative - kinda good riddance. The bikes lying all over the sidewalks & streets like debris. I think the company's exit will be seen as best for everybody.

Now Sansonik, you know that the opinions of outside agitators are more important than yours.

I'm with IM's post #6 on the jump bikes- good riddance. They were an unnecessary hazard in a walkable city.

Welcome! Unless crime in minority/majority neighborhoods fascinates you, it's best to ignore the crime threads here - like most of the rest of us.
