Hi,
I recently moved to the Providence/Pawtucket area and am looking for a church. Many of the ones I have visited seem formal. Does anyone know of a church with a great worship and song portion as well as preaching and activities? Am I asking too much? I haven't found a place that even has much of a worship and communal song time. Anyways, If you have input, I would love to hear it.
Yeah, a lot depends on what kind of church you're looking for. How far are you willing to travel? We attend a church just outside of Pawtucket, in Attleboro on Oakhill Ave. Baptist. Good, solid fundamental church. There's Greater RI Baptist Temple and there's a large nondenominational church not far from that area too (can't think of the name right now...they're on TV on sundays though).
Yes, a christian. I grew up liberal mennonite (if that exists) but favor non denominationals, united congregationals, and things more on the liberal side, not to pushy on the evangelical front. nothing that airs on tv, but a group that is serious about thier faith and have fun doing so. Mostly, I need sing alongs in my worship and have been getting a lot of hyms or liturgy and talking instead. I can travel- Attleboro/Pawtucket/Providence. The closer the better, but distance isn't a huge factor.
