Lincoln tends to vote Democratic. I'd say overall the people have fairly traditional values but aren't completely close-minded. Some are, but you'll find that anywhere. Many of the people in town grew up here, and sometimes it seems like everyone knows everyone else! The roads are fine; I don't find traffic in town to be a problem. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get into Providence during non-rush hour times; can't speak to rush hour as I don't drive then!

Don't know about Johnston, except by reputation and driving through. I think it's a bit more built up than Lincoln and has more traffic.
