I agree with you, but most of the digging involves archeological digs because of indian artifacts along the shores of Warwick. This is not the first time projects have been stalled for decades and it will not be the last.

Oh come on! I was being GENEROUS in saying it was 1980! On reflection, I distinctly recall Warwick Avenue - pretty much from Lakewood all the way to Meadowbrook (yikes! brings back memories) being a bombed out mess due to sewer construction starting in the late 70s. Were there pre-columbian artifacts in Hoxsie that needed to be cataloged over the course of 35 years?

I don't want to argue (Unfortunately, facts that conflict with a rosy reality seem to be in very rare supply on the RI forum - not that I'm saying this about you; I'm really not.) But, I know Warwick and its longstanding "issues" too well to just say "You're right!". Cheers!

Ah, Conimicut Point. Just down the road from Oakland Beach. Where the Debris Meets the Sea!
Brings back some fond memories of attending high school at Bishop Hendricken back in the early
1970's. Damn, I'm getting old!
