as reported by Projo: Moody’s predicts that Rhode Island is at a higher risk than the rest of the country when it comes to predicting areas that will suffer a double-dip recession. The report states that Rhode Island is the third most likely state (behind Vermont and Pennsylvania) to “fall back into recession within the next six months.” bpoliche@providencejournal.com

This is not good...I don't want to argue, or gloat. So don't attack, I didn't write it.
This, and reports like it, is what leads to negativity in RI. as a whole.

Perhaps there is also an element of "piling on" when these types of predictions are made? Bad news that gets publicized leads to more predictions of bad news? and so on....

Public perception is important.

Moody's and agencies like it are part of the reason the whole World is in this Financial mess. They gave AAA ratings to toxic trash, and now we are supposed to excuse that prior behavior and pretend their legitimacy has never been in question.

I wish I could say, "you guy's have a point there" ...but why pick on poor little Rhode Island, unless it's more true, than not.
Moody's hasn't changed, there doing the same thing they've always done, right or wrong.

Not being sarcastic here, but this is a "tough spin" for anyone.

No pretending; just stop drinking the Kool Aid.

That was entirely my point.

So what your insinuating is...Moody's is simply wrong. They just don't like Vermont, PA, or RI. for some reason. For that matter, they could have just thrown 3 dot's at a map of the US, and that's just where they landed, those three states.
ok ok... now I have it. cool!, I feel much better.

"pin's and needles...needles and pin's it's a happy man who grins"
see... I'm trying friends.
