Having horses in Rhode Island (Providence, Coventry: buyer, living, price)

I am looking at a job at the Providence, RI VA that looks great, but I need a house, barn or shelter and four acres for my horses. Can this be done for under 350,000 within travel time to the VA?

Probably not in that price budget, depending on size of the home. Land is very expensive in RI, and good pasture land for horses takes a long time to become pasture land as you know.

In Rhode Island, look in Coventry, Exeter, Foster, Glocester, West Greenwich. Mostly western RI areas (not near the shore, very pricey).

In Massachusetts, look at Rehoboth, Swansea, parts of Seekonk maybe.

Definitely yes! I went to search and put in 174,240 and up for lot size. Many properties came up. Foster or Glocester area would be good to commute to the VA.

Check out the Bargain Buyer on line. They advertise properties in NW Rhode Island. Properties are available, but you might have to put up your own shelter. Try Century 21, Putnam Pike, Chepachet (Glocester) or Long Realty, Snake Hill Road, North Scituate(Glocester). Long Realty only deals with properties in NW Rhode Island. Good luck!!! I live in Chepachet and there are 5 horse farms within 1 mile of me.
