hall rental for shower (Providence: kitchens, money, basements)

My friend and I are planning a baby shower for another friend. It should be around 20 ppl or so. I am just looking for a place that might have a small kitchen we can use (not a necessity but would be nice). We don't have a lot of money so we are looking for something rather inexpensive. Any ideas. I would say anywhere but South County (no offense to South County people, but I am afraid people might not go that far from the Providence area). Any suggestions would be great.

What makes it a little more difficult to find a nice place is that you
want to do the cooking yourselves.
Knights of Columbus and VFW posts often will allow that.

Does anyone in your party belong to a church or similar organization? Sometimes they have basements with kitchens used for such things.

Right smack in the middle of Providence is a Methodist Church that rents out its hall - plus kitchen. It's on Mathewson St and is called, Mathewson St UMC.
