Do you have a link or a map to represent which is proposed, which is planned and which are currently under construction?
wow emily, .... besides the fact that you would rather trust the PRIVATE sector to keep prices low.... you really do need a tinfoil hat. there are zero issues with extending the train. deal with it
Sure the idea is nice and it is nice to hear that no one was kicked out of their homes this time but will the COST be WORTH it? By 2030 I bet a ride from Wickford to the airport will cost $30. Then will it be worth it?
Yes, because even assuming you're right, it will cost far, far more than that to take a taxi or to park your car at the airport.
We didn't lose anything, we gained. An existing railroad track is being used as intended, once again, and commuters can get to work in Boston or Providence without creating gridlock or adding to the pollution.
Does the MBTA have any plans to introduce any Express Trains between Providence and Boston that would match the 40 minutes on Amtrak?
Doubt that will ever happen. Some runs are more express than others, but why would a train go past paying customers and MA residents in Attleboro, Sharon, Stoughton etc? That wouldn't be servicing MA residents well.
