Using RIPTA to get from Woonsocket to Providence?
So I'm not used to bus transportation and reading the routes and maps, but I've always wondered how to go about using those RIPTA buses that I see going around Walnut Hill and Diamond Hill in Woonsocket. How does this work? Let's say I wanted to get on the bus at the PriceRite stop and go to Providence. First of all, is it okay to park wherever?
The schedule says that the bus continues to Providence via #54. Does that mean you don't have to get off the bus and transfer at any point and you just continue until the route simply ends at Kennedy Plaza?
It looks like there's an east and west bus, is it easy to tell which bus is which? Wouldn't I be taking the west bus?
From what I can tell there are four times that the bus goes to Providence Mon-Fri: 12:47pm, 1:20pm, 5:22pm and 7:25pm. Am I reading that right?
Where exactly is the outbound schedule that I'd need?
Ugh. Please feel free to explain all of this to me as if I were a child. Thanks in advance.

I look up a lot of RIPTA routes for someone in RI, so I am somewhat familiar. I don't know about parking rules, though. The times you listed are from the 87 West schedule I see. It's easier to go to Google maps and search for directions just as you would search for driving directions then click on an icon to switch to transit, biking, or walking. Enter the transit_station name to transit_station name for directions or use the RIPTA site.
Just taking the 54 Inbound will give you more options, but you have to go the Clinton St parking lot.

I knew about the google maps instructions, but they're not very useful for someone who has absolutely no idea what they're doing/has never ridden a bus.
I talked to someone and they were able to answer my questions: the bus does have to drop you off at woonsocket depot, apparently they do go to Providence more than 4 times a day, you should park at clinton st. because that's where you'll get dropped off after coming back from Providence, etc.

There are 42 bus trips from Woonsocket to Providence during the weekday. The earliest is something like 5:30am and the latest is around 11pm. Here's a link to the RIPTA map for the 54 bus:

The map shown in RIPTA website is different than what it shows in google when you search for possible routes with public transport , I was searching for options from Highland corporate park (Mendon) and google told me to take ripta from corp park stand but ripta map doesn't show such stop.
