Makes you wonder how "the lady behind the bullet proof glass" got her job. Aaahh, yes. RI patronage job, she's too busy planning her retirement to FL, so she can get another job there and retire with two pensions. Her husband works for the State too.
Of course, Quilter doesn't seem to understand that the implied "patronage" in the context of this discussion would clearly be a form of corruption. But then, she had no real basis for her comment to begin with, as it was purely ignorant hyperbole.
Tomorrow will mark the start of week 7 with no answer from unemployment. I have never been able to get through to the call center, nor have I received any call-backs.
My wife finally got through yesterday. I think it was 13 days straight of redial open to close. I emailed the governor, both senators, the congressman, and even my local senator and congressman.. they said to contact them if it ever happens again.

I have now complained to the US Dept of Labor, the Providence Journal, Channel 10, the governor, the mayor (not that applies, but anyway.), my representative, and both senators.
Im going through the same thing. I applied for mine in November 8. Its Christmas and i haven't gotten a dime. I am penny pinchng. I barely have food. I can't pay my rent and my landlord isn't going to keep letting me live here for much Longer. I already did everything i needed to do. I do my teleserve every week and it tells me my claim is still pending. Anyone, if you know what that means please let me know. Because im going to be homeless.

See my post a couple up from this one. Same rules apply. Email every elected official, all the way to Obama if you have to. Call them, write them letters. Someone will notice. And be prepared to hit redial for days on end if you don't hear back. Like I said, it took 13 days, 8 hours a day, constant redial.
