Exclamation thinking of moving to Smithfield

Hello all,
I would like some info on Smithfield and surrounding areas and the schools there. Im from NY and want to move closer to family that is located in Johnston RI. Im not buying a house, I will be renting a two bedroom at least. My main concern is the schools. My son is in 8th grade and will be going into High School next year. Any info would be much appreciated, especially from people who live in this area. Thank you.

Here's a really good website for comparing schools and school systems as well as parents opinions of the edcuation the kids get.

Hi - for that area of the state, Lincoln has the best public schools. Smithfield and Cumberland are both okay, but if you are asking purely about the best schools in that area, I would go with Lincoln.
