I live in N. Providence, and from what I can remember about this area is that its not too bad. Its a family neighborhood, but also near Providence College, so I'm sure there are tons of college kids living near by. I wouldnt worry abotu that too much, but in warmer months, they walk the street going to bars/pizza places, etc. But overall, I'd say its fine.
