Default How is Cowesett in Warwick to live?

My wife and are moving from Stonington, CT back to RI. I grew up in Greenwood in Warwick, then later in Warwick Neck. After college and marrying my wife and I inched our way south, then eventually into CT.

Our neighborhood great, schools are great, we love out house, but we miss our family in RI. Plus the daily 1 hour commute to Prov is killing me!

Anyways, we looked at Greenwood where I have fond memories, but I find many of the homes are smaller than I remembered and I get the feeling it is not as nice as it was 15-20 yrs ago.

Warwick Neck would be very close to my family but I have little faith in the local schools (Middle and High School). So, we have narrowed it down to North Kingstown and Cowesett.

We took a drive thru Cowesett last weekend and we liked what I saw. Between Cowesett Ave and Division Rd is a large cluster of homes that have a real family neighborhood feel. Granted, some homes were much more impressive than others, but to me a little mixed community is not so bad.

I live in McNeighborhood now were all the homes are new 2700-3400 Sq feet. I thought I would love this but find people to be very homogenous.

My wife says Cowesett is not as prestigious as it once was, but I think it still has a nice appeal, especially for a family. Our priority is our 4yr old son. So we need to find a nice safe community with a great school system that we can be happy for the next 15+ years.

I was hoping to get feedback from anyone that is very familiar with this area, or even better, live or lived in Cowesett.
