No fisherman in waders out in the middle of the river this day?
I bike the Blackstone River Bike Trail every week as it is close by. It goes over the small bridge in the forefront below the Route 116 George Washington Highway Bridge. These bridges connect the towns of Cumberland and Lincoln. The bike trail paved off road portion is now about 11 miles long stretching from the Valley Falls section of Cumberland (near the Central Fall line) to Woonsocket. It straddles both the river and 175+ year old canal with the trail being on what was once the canal tow path. This trail is particularly beautiful in the Fall.

No fisherman in sight.. just me and my camera, and a handful of bikers - it was a perfect day. I have yet to bike the trail, although I did ride my motorcycle along parts of the river that day. I look forward to biking a bit of it in the fall.
Driving my eye crazy! Anyone can shoot daytime stuff, you know, the bobbing boats, the standard shot from Prospect Park. But it takes, you know, a little bit of thought and craziness to shoot in totally unpredictable light. I think Providence has a certain magic at night, and it's very seductive to my eye.
To the glory of Providence!
This muralndidn't capture my attention until I saw its possibilities at night. Me like.
Providence is the real deal -- a true Northeastern city with a long history. To my eye, to my taste, I just love this place and I aspire to capture it as no one ever has. I connect here in ways I couldn't have imagined and certainly in ways that never "clicked" in Manhattan.
