I moved here from out of state in September and would advise thinking twice about settling in Warwick if you have children. We lived there for a few months until purchasing our home, and couldn't leave fast enough. The schools leave a lot to be desired, and they seem to only be getting worse. For your price range, you could definitely find something here in Barrington, where I ended up settling. My house was in the middle of your price range. Closer to town than Warwick, safer and far better schools.

West Barrington is a bargain in the current market. I'm assuming West Barrington based on the price range you mentioned.

the area of Barrington with the lowest consistent pricing of housing is West Barrington. But, not south of Lincoln Ave. North of Lincoln Ave toward Haines Park and County Road. Sherwood Plat is low priced but these are small ranches built after WWII that now go for $250,000. Prices slowly rise toward Middle Hgwy. Bay Spring Ave, again is small homes and the Narragansett Ave area are former summer homes now all full time homes. On the water $400,000, two streets over $200,000 and very small plots. Anything on the water is pricey. Another area that is reasonable is off of Massasoit Ave across the White Bridge in Hampton Meadows. Bowden Ave and Martin Ave areas have more affordable housing and the areas have character. The old Italian area around Maple Ave is also affordable.
