Fung spokesman Andrew Augustus responded in a statement to NBC 10 News.
“Not only is Gina Raimondo running a completely incompetent administration, she’s running a completely incompetent campaign. If she spent more time in state, maybe she would the know difference between Providence and Cranston," Augustus said.
Stuff happens: "Fung critics quickly noted he has also taken heat for commercial footage in the past, recalling a 2014 flap when he shot an ad about improving business in Rhode Island at a diner in Ohio."
For what it's worth, I like Gina and would take her any day of the week over Fung.
That said...
I have a problem with how she's handled the 911 funding, I hold her partially responsible for the loss of the PawSox, and I think this campaign ad shows she's out of touch.
Fung has been amazing for Cranston, if only his success in turning that city around could be duplicated at the state level (really why that ad is so laughable).

Yes, if we could only turn the entire state into Amazing Cranston by electing Fung. Let's say we do and don't.
I never said Cranston was amazing, nor do they teach reading comprehension anymore (apparently).
The city was a train wreck before he took over, on a mismanaged downward spiral always on the verge of bankruptcy. Now things have completely turned around, and it's in probably the best financial shape of any larger city in RI. Too bad Providence doesn't have leadership like that, eh?
