Hey everyone. I'm considering moving to Tiverton next year with my 2 kids. They will be going into 6th and 9th grades. I grew up in Fall River, but have been in NC for the last 18 years.

I'm specifically wondering about areas in Tiverton to live in, schools, family activities, a Catholic Church, etc. I know I can search online, but I was hoping to get some info from locals. I never really spent much time in Tiverton growing up, other than to get ice cream, or drive through to go to college in Newport.

What's your budget for a house and how big does it need to be?

Tiverton is a fine town. Plenty of former Fall Riverites there. I'm unaware of any bad areas of Tiverton. As everywhere, neighborhood price points are low, middle & high. Usually depending on the distance from water.

As others have said, budget will kind of dictate where you want to look. The closer to Fall River, especially first few streets aren't all that different from what side of the state line you are on particularly along rt 138 area. Close to the water or Little Compton will get pricier.

Catholic church's aplenty in the area, schools are decent. As far as family activities the area has plenty to offer even if not necessarily in town. It's not that far of a ride to Newport, Providence, Fall River etc. If you are looking for something in particular let it be known and you can be pointed in a better direction.

I need at least 3 bedrooms. An office would be great, since I work from home. I'm open to renting or buying. Buying, up to 350k. Could go higher, for the right place.

That probably means North Tiverton which is north of the bridge and Rt 24 closer to Fall River.

You'd be hard pressed to find something in Tiverton central [Stone Bridge] or South Tiverton at that price.
3 bed rentals in the better areas will be about 2400+ a mo.
