Default Water fire - When does it usually take place ?

My family will be in RI for a few days this summer, most probably June/July and we want to see the Water fire event . But I dont seem to find info anywhere on when exactly it takes place Is there a specific date or is it like every weekend in summer ??

Thanks in advance

It all depends on how many dates the organizers find sponsors for. Generally speaking, Waterfire is every other Saturday. There are also occasional mid-week lightings, but again, it depends on the funding.

It looks like the schedule for this year is still tbd, but you can check back here for updates:

Waterfire is an amazing event. Hope you're able to experience it!

It's usually announced by now isn't it? Methinks they may be having trouble getting funded this year.

The Water Fire site seems to be saying that they haven't set any dates for 2009. Is there a possibility that the event won't be able to be produced this year?
