I would like to take cermanics/pottery lessons in RI. What is the best place? I'm looking for a place that has a kiln, glaze, pottery wheel, etc. I want quality materials but I don't need that much instruction. I am located 15 mins south of Provy....thankyou for the advice!!!

Default here's one place to take ceramics...

RISD : Rhode Island School of Design : SEARCH CE COURSES

You might try "The Learning Connection" catalog too

I actually already checked both. The Learning Connection does not have ceramics. RISD classes do not fit into my schedule...sadly.

I basically just want a place where there is a kiln/glaze/wheel etc. and I can just go and work after they have showed me how to do it...does it exist in RI?

Thank you for the suggestions though!!

You might contact Salt Marsh Pottery in Dartmouth, MA. It's not in Rhode Island (obviously), but it's not too far. They may be able to provide some help or guidance. Google 'em.

Try Peter Potts if they are still around.
