Thinking of moving to RI,Provident (Providence: house, living, prices)

My wife is offered a job in providence,RI, she is a RN. How are the job opportunties for IT?how is the house price rent/buy?how is the transport system?pls give some info on this please. we are from London.

For IT, you might be better commuting to Boston. Light rail goes there from Providence or it is about an hour's drive.
