I'm planning on relocating to RI because of work, I'm searching for apartments and would really prefer to be in a nice, safe area. Any input on what it's like around Woodbine St. at Broadway in Pawtucket?

Crime in Pawtucket (as well as most of RI) is below national averages and most is property crime.
Here are Pawtucket's stats:

Pawt. -in general- is a low income working class town. It has been trying for some time to revive its downtown as an arts district. Oak Hill, Fairlawn, County Club, and Darlington are its best districts. Broadway has a lot of low income people, many of whom seem to be on one form of welfare or another- but safety is probably not a huge issue. Depends on what kind of environment you're comfortable in...

Anywhere off of Broadway is not nice. Where will you be working and what sort of cost-of-living/accommodations are you looking for?

Thanks for your reply! I'm still searching for apartments ... Any idea what the area around Pawtucket Ave at Carver Street is like?
