Hello all!

My fiance and I are attending a wedding on the 5th of July. We are coming up on the 4th and staying in Cranston. The ceremony is in Cranston, the reception in Charlestown.
Sooo - my question is, what is there to do? Can anyone suggest some good fireworks? What is Cranston like? We are going to try to optimize our time up there. Any help / advice is great appreciated.

Thanks!

It depends where you are staying, and what you are interested in. There really is not too much to do in Cranston. You could always visit the Roger Williams Zoo- that's always a good time. I'd also suggest maybe visiting Newport or other places in South County.

Yeah Providence is 'very dangerous'. Sure.

Have you been outside of Rhode Island?

Way too dangerous!

But seriously, while there are a couple parts of the city where I wouldn't necessarily walk around late at night I don't feel particularly unsafe in Providence, especially during the day.
