Does anyone know about the lofts that are downtown? Any ones to stay away from? I am looking for a place where I don't have to hear my upstairs neighbors so lofts seem to be the way to go.

When I lived in Providence, the lofts over on Atwell Avenue were interesting, and several newer lofts in the old jewelry district were very nice.
Haven't seen them in ages, so can't comment more than that ![]() |

Too late to edit my post, you might also look at the Pawtucket lofts--just outside Providence--about 10 minutes up North Main Street.
