Default Reservoir Ave in Cranston...

..in a previous thread some people said that parts of Reservoir are safe and some parts are not, I'm looking to move to Cranston and/or Warwick area. I work on Reservoir down towards New London Ave in Cranston, is this the part thats safe, there and towards Warwick? It seems to be. Whats your input on Park Ave, it seems a little loud? I'm living off Broadway in Providence, and its too cityish & loud to all hours of the night, just with people driving by with their car/house stereo's blasting (that vibrates my apt), sitting on my doorstep people are asking me for money & if I want to buy drugs I love my freedom and I want to be able to walk outside my apartment anytime of the night, take a walk and not feel unsure about it. I would appreciate anybody's input Somebody at my job told me anywhere away from Providence is safe & quiet?

Yes that part of Reservoir Ave near Garden City is extremely safe. I believe whoever said it wasn't safe must have been referring to the part that crosses into Providence. (But even that is an assumption.)

P.S. The only parts of Cranston I know of where you may not want to walk alone at night are the parts near South Providence, which is in East Cranston. The area you're referring to is considered Central Cranston.

I agree with the above post. There are many nice safe areas off of Reservoir Ave - near Cranston East HS, Forest Park (behind CVS all the way down to Spain), Aquaduct (behind Taco Bell), Garden City,Dean Estates and all the way down to the intersection of Rt 5. There are also many great areas off Park Ave as well, Stadium area, Eden Park (by Pontiac and Rolf St) etc. I grew up in Warwick and then lived in Cranston for 20 years....enjoyed it very much.
