CF is nasty, and be careful of Cumberland too as some areas that boarder CF are not nice either.
If you are working in Seekonk, like others have said, the east side is a really nice area if you like city living. If you want a more rural area try places like Bristol, Barrington, Tiverton, Riverside areas. They are a bit more pricy but you CAN find places in your price range.
There was just an apartment in Bristol (a nice historic town in RI on the water) 3 bed rooms, 1st floor for $950
East providence is also nice but for some reason rents have gotten really high there for what it is.
I would STRONGLY reccomend NOT living in Central Falls especially if you have kids. Not really a place to raise children these days.

hi
i used to live in cf at one time too. as long as i been aware of it's existance it has always been a rough area and down trodden. six string samari is right. it may be worse even now. not so much because of the latinos but because everything is even older now.
i know someone that may be able to help u with relocating to an area that u probably would want to stay in that may be suitable to your needs.

Central falls has got to be one of the worst places you can pick to live in Rhode Island. Try Bristol, Providence, Newport, Barrington all much better places.

Thanks guys...but we are living here now and have no problem so far living in Central falls. I have meet some great neighbors and went to the laundrmat (which is very clean and much better then expected). Things are definetly not as bad as everyone makes it sound. It's so small it just blends in with Pawtucket anyway. I have to say yes, that some areas I have driven through since I got here are better but these few blocks around me are great and will be good for the year we are planning on being here.
