Default Info about Harrisville, RI

Hello All,
I'm moving to RI from MA and I'm looking at Harrisville. Does anyone have any interesting info about the town? It seems like a quiet town, and looks to have a quiant New England village center and not too far from Providence.

I would agree Harrisville, which I believe is part of Burrillville/Pascoag? is a very quiet New Englandesque town. I have a dentist in Pascoag and I actually enjoy the drive up there. Not sure how the plowing situation will be in the winter, but if you like quiet rural areas you should be happy. Also, the nice thing about RI is that you're not too far from the urban area. Shoot down route 7, or 146 and you're in the city.

I was born and raised not far from there in Slatersville.

These are very quiet New England towns.

The only negative would be if you need to work in Providence or points south, it's is a bit of a drive, particularly in winter.

Good Luck,

Mikey

Pascoag is a separate village within the town of Burrilville. Harrisville is the prettier of the two with its beautiful waterfall and town green. Also, it has a great communuity theater at Assembly Hall overlooking the falls. It is a great place to live, as all of NW Rhode Island is. Unlike the southern area of Rhode Ilsand you get a more New England Currier and Ives flavor here. Or at least more often. NW Rhode Island can get two feet of snow while just 10 miles down the road there is only two inches. Plowing in this area is more aligned with New Hampshire's ability to clear snow rather than the Providence urban area.
