We're taking a day trip to pick up an item in East Greenwich on saturday.

Are there any good, inexpensive restaurants near there? Local seafood is what we're hoping for !

Duffy's Tavern & Restaurant 235 Tower Hill Road (Scenic Route 1) Wickford, RI 02852 401-295-0073.

EG is expensive, the place above is close and has great seafood cheap.

The food at Duffys is fine but last time I was there the service was slooooow and the place was empty? I would suggest The Crows Nest in Apponaug Cove (Warwick)

I will second the Crow's Nest. Good Seafood reasonally priced. It also serves Italian meals. It is located just North of EG. Avoid it after 5 pm on a Saturday evening, even this time of year, because the waits can be up to 90 minutes. They are known for their Lobster Roll and their Lobster plates. I enjoy their Fried Clams.

I agree. Crow's nest is delectable.

Fillipos

Tio Matteos

Chianti's

Fat Belly's (It's technically more in Warwick than EG.)

Kon (New Asian bistro that just opened up on Main street)

Angelina's (New Italian deli/eatery across from Fillipos.)

Grill on Main.
