I would recommend Smithfield or Scituate as great communities to raise an 11 year old boy. Both are bedroom communities with good schools and community sports programs. St. Philip School is a K-8 catholic school which has a great reputation and small middle school. Bishop Hendricken, Mount St. Charles and LaSalle Academy are good catholic high schools in the area. Hendricken is an all-boy school. I would not recommend N. Prov, Woonsocket, Pawtucket, Johnston, Cranston, Warwick, W. Warwick, or East Providence. Nice cities and towns but I think you would prefer Smithfield, Scituate, Coventy, North Kingstown, N. Smithfield or Cumberland better. St. Philips is $5000 a year and Hendricken is about $12K. You could find a home in your price range in all those towns I recommended but it will be an older home in an older neighborhood.
