Default Labor Union Construction Academy in Cranston

My 8th grade son is considering this school. I am concerned that most of the students at this school are not very motivated to do ANY school work, and that they are just passed along to satisfy the union's demand for laborers. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks for posting this! I had no idea that this school existed. I've always thought we needed more good trade schools and to stop trying to prepare students for college who don't want to go.

The fact that your son wants to attend this type of school indicates that he is identifying himself as being happy with a building trades career and you really would rather he go to college- am I right???? In that case, it wouldn't be the school itself but rather the family dynamic that would be the issue.

Has nothing to do w/going to college. The question is whether the students actually learn anything or if they are permitted to pass by doing minimal work because the union pumps $$ into the school.
