Default East Providence School System

Hi,

My husband and I are looking into moving to East Providence and plan on starting a family in a year or two. How are the schools here? Is there one area that would be better than another? Currently we are looking into Riverside. We are also looking into Barrington and Bristol but prices seems to be a bit better in East Providence. Thanks in advance for any help!

The EP school system isn't the state's best, but it's not the worst either. In general Barrington schools are better. However, I would choose EP over Bristol schools if you have the option.

Riverside is a good area to live. Note that there is only one high school in East Providence, so no matter where you live in the city (Rumford, EP, or Riverside), all high school students attend the same school. I have heard good things about Riverside Middle School (I attended Martin myself). From what I remember, Waddington and Meadowcrest are good schools in Riverside. One of them also used to have the gifted program, but I don't remember which or if that is in existence anyone.
