Question driving from warwick to west roxbury(boston) am commute

I will be driving from warwick ri to west roxbury (exit 16A) in the morning M onday through Friday. I have the option of starting work at 8, 8:30, or 9.am. I am thinking the earlier the better. If I leave warwick at 6:30a.m. I should be okay to get there by 8a.m. right? I've driven there during off peak hours and it took one hour. My job is only about 2miles off the exit and it's not down town boston, so it doesn't seem too bad. The drive will suck regardless but it's worth the opportunity. I can transfer to Providence in a year or so. Does anyone else do this route in the morning? What time does 95N get jammed in either Providence or Boston?

Thank you

I did that route -- except that I lived in Cumberland. Some mornings, it took 2-plus hours. It's not just highway time, it's the surface roads in W. Roxbury. (The 95/93 split was a time waster as well.)

I found that when I started my day later, it was better. You may want to do a "test drive" for a couple of weeks. Leave at different times to see what's better.

If I'm understanding correctly, you'll be getting off exit 16A on 95? I think that's actually Westwood, exiting onto route 109 toward the Jamaica way. I would allow at least 90 minutes for commute time; its better to be too early than too late.

I would suggest taking the earlier time.
I currently go from the East Side to exit 18. My highway time is normally 45 minutes. I generally leave before 6:30 and get to work between 7:15 and 7:30.
I would say that the 95/93 split generally starts to get congested around 7:30ish. Since the construction at this split has ended the time to get through is normally not that bad. You should be fine for a year or two.
