St. Patrick's Day, Newport
So I am very familiar with Newport. I've spend many a summer night there and have friends who live in the area so I'm frequently in town.
I have not, however, been in town for St. Patrick's Day festivities; but that's going to change this year.
My question is, what to do? This is relatively uncharted territory for me. I'm staying at a friend's on Thames from the 14th (Saturday) through the 17th. I know many of my typical "haunts" (i.e. The Landing) are closed for the season, but what's open, what's the scene like at night? What is going on for activity during St. Patrick's Day or on the weekend before (14th and 15th)?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
