Little Chopsticks II in West Warwick (on Route 2 near exit 8 on 95) is my favorite. I don't know how authentic it is, but I've never had a bad meal there.

I will suggest Chan's Fine Oriental Dining in Woonsocket. I have enjoyed dining there but I have not been there in at least a year and the reviews I've read are quite mixed. There is buffet and regular sit-down dining. I believe there is a full bar also. If you like Jazz, they are big on that too!

My three favorites are:
1. The Cathay Garden, Post Road, E Greenwich
2. The Islander, West Shore Road, Warwick
3. Chens in Wakefield (don't know the name of the road, but they're worth driving down there from Warwick for!)

OMG, I'm drooling already! Hands down, Little Chopsticks, authentic! on New London Ave. in W.Warwick. The owners are wonderful, family owned business for a million years. And yes, they speak fluent Mandarin.
Also, try Lemongrass for a variety of Chinese, Thai etc. on Elmwood AV. in Warwick, east of the airport. Awesome !!!!

Go to Trader Joe's on Rt. 2 Warwick, buy their frozen 1/2 partially made Gen. Tsao's chicken and make it yourself...seriously.
The chicken is already breaded....just put it on a cookie sheet in your oven according to directions.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil & carmelize a large red onion (sliced).
Add fresh broccoli & the Gen. Tsao sauce provided - cover & simmer on low till the chicken is done.
Add the chicken (which is nice & crispy at this point), toss and serve w/ rice.
All this takes about 20 minutes or so
SO much better than the Gen. Tsao chicken in any of these Chinese places around....and for a fraction of the cost!!!

You can visit New China Buffet in woonsocket. It's huge and the food is decent. This is if you just want to pig out and eat different things rather than just one dish.
It's a common folks place, not for snobs. The food is not worth than at most regular chinese restaurants.
