Rumford Center Lofts and other Rumford rentals? (Providence, Pawtucket: houses, neighborhoods)

I was looking to move to Rumford, RI in a few months, and stumbled across these lofts.


Are they any good? Safety, noise, etc.


I've heard that Rumford is, in general, a good area to live, but I was curious to know if anyone knows about this complex.

I'm a single female, early twenties, but I'm looking to avoid the younger crowds/crowds my age.

If anyone has any suggestions to other places to rent here, I'd love to hear it! [1300 max rent, at least a one bed room, quiet community, somewhere I can play my violin without disturbing the neighbours]

The lofts look really good- I'd definitely check them out if I were you. They are in the heart of the area being the old Rumford Chemical Works- home of the baking powder. Rumford is perfectly safe- no issues there. East Providence has a very good police dept.- you see them patrolling all the time ( I don't think they have a whole lot to do).

There are other apt complexes in Rumford and some multi unit houses that have apts as well. Best place to look is Craigslist- you can specify Rumford. There really isn't a bad section there except that some people stretch the Rumford designation to include neighborhoods that aren't Rumford going up in the direction of Pawtucket. The entire thing is only about a square mile with the lofts as the center.

I know the developer of the Lofts in Rumford personally. I'd 100% recommend them - absolutely beautiful. I'd be living there if there was closer access (walking) to the train.
